Yes it is easier to drive. While it was a huge political boondoggle and feeding frenzy for greedy contractors, overall Boston is easier to navigate than it was ten years ago. That said, it's not quite finished yet and what has been done needs a lot of "tweaking."

It was easier for a while and still is sometimes but with the fare increases on the local public transit system (so stupid!!!) some days now the traffic on I-93 i backed up and jammmed as bad or evn worse than it was before. Last week I noticed it was bumper to bumper from Boston all the way to Stoneham!

The work isn't finished, it always seems as if the entire city is under construction. Though I have to admit, it is easier to zip through the tunnel than traveling in years past. But the money seems insane, and after all, there are lots of worry what the the tragedy of last summer's accident! I don't feel 100% safe.

In the end?? It's not over, and it's far from perfect.

So while it's a little easier to drive and to navigate, I'm not so sure it was worth the headache and the massive price.

Boston should just force us all to take the T, but at it's old prices... maybe that's just my personal opinion.
