time travel movie - Back to the Future I/II/III

Theoretically, the only time travel that's possible is travelling real-time into the future, one nano or pico or whatever second at a time.

But here's a time travel scam you can pull off. First, somehow manage to establish your credentials as a mad scientist researching in cryogenics. Next, claim that you have invented a capsule, that will freeze an organism for a long time, and unfreeze it in the far future. Carry out trials with mice and smaller periods of time. Sweep all dead mice under the carpet, keep extra mice handy and claim experiment was a grand success. Publish lots of papers on the same. Next offer to build capsules for humans who want to travel to the future. There will always be a bunch of rich guys who will want to try it out. Charge them astronomically. Just ensure that the period is set to at least a hundred years into the future, so that their ancestors can only sue your dead body. Make a lot of money this way, and have fun with your 'time machine'.

research in this field indicates that if time travel is in fact possible, it will be limited to travel into the future.
another important point to note is that if you can, in fact, travel into the past, "YOU CANNOT CHANGE THE PAST".
think of it this way...if you could travel back and kill your grandmother, would you "cease to exist"?..we don't know.
thus, if you travelled back, you'd get caught in an endless loop of doing exactly what you did before...again..and again..

so it seems then that time travel , if possible, will be restricted to the future, since in the future, possibilities are open.

one can also explain this based on the concept of the "thermodynamic arrow of time"...you might want to check this out...
hope that answers your question..

i think time travel (past or future) at this moment is impossible. even science hasn't proven yet that time travel is possible considering the present technologies we have. one has to travel the speed of light or be in a quantum level to achieve one but still these concepts are all 'theories.'

Time travell is a one way ticket to the future. You're doing it right now.

Our current understanding of Physics dictates that it is NOT possible to travel backwards in time.

However, we travel into the future every millisecond ;)

with super string theory - gaining popularity;
and experimental support;

we will be able travel in past as well as in future;

till then we can travel in Imaginations / dreams - faster than any machine......
(hope u catch one Marylin for me also)

it is both.
many times sages,yogies,and past life regression therapists, have successfully travelled either in past or future so it is both ways...

To the past.

Extremely unlikely....although pseudo-scientists wanting huge financial grants will disagree.
Even if it is theoretically possible to warp time/space, it is highly improbable that a human could ever survive the event.
