Depending on your budget scott, theres loads of excellent a.g.p cards with pixel and shader model 3.0
starting at the bottom with the budget models, the nvidia geforce 6200(http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=555356)is a excellent card for its price(£34),it has 256mb of memory and pixel and shader model 3.0,however the clock speeds of 350mhz core and 600mhz memory make this a good card for part time gamers but not for die hard gamers who want high frame rates....here are the specifications......................

the geforce 7800gs is a brilliant card for its price, its probally the card that would suit most users as its good for gaming with its clock speeds of 375mhz core and 1200mhz memory

however this is a gaming card for avid gamers, with its core clock speed of 580mhz and a memory clock speed of 1400mhz this will make mince meat of any game, and of course its got pixel and shader model 3.0 and is direct x 9 compatible

personally i would go for the geforce 7800gs,not because i dont like the x1950pro but because it dosent take as much power as the radeon card and it looks good in any p.c and also i prefer geforce and nvidia over a.t.i
i hope this has helped you scott
good luck mate!
