I'll assume you're talking about an ideal gas, if not you'll need to correct the result using whichever technique is appropriate.
Step 1: select a basis, 1 litre is good.
Step 2: work out your knowns,
in this case we know that V=1L and m=6.99g
it at STP, so we know that T=273.1, and P=101.3. Due to the units we've chosen, R=8.31451
Step 3: Use the ideal gas equation:
PV=nRT, the only unknown is n, so we rearange to n=PV/RT
work out n
Step 4: we know that n=m/M, so we rearrange that to M=n/m
use the value of n from step 3, and m as 6.99 and bobs you're uncle!

In STP 1 mole of all gases assume a vol of 22.4 lt
the density is 6.99 gm/lt
so wt of 22.4 lt = 22.4*6.99 =156.576
so the molecular mass = 156.576

I can't remember if you multiply it by 6.022 times 10 to the 23 power or if it is just the element with a 6.99 mass on the table. (It's been a while)
