my friend started having back pain last night and kinda crampy feelings. this morning she woke up with the same thing only now she has diarrhea, throwing up and her tummy is tightening she is only 34 weeks. we took her to the doctor he said it's the flu. and he don't seem to be concerned that she lost 8 pounds since her last appointment all he did was listen to the babies heartbeat and feel her tummy and tell her that its the flu drink fluids and pushed her out the door. he wasn't concerned that her tummy was tightening and she had cramps so bad she was crying or wanting to double over. nothing makes them go away.not changing positions or antyhing. and i don't know how to comfort her or what to do. does anyone know if this is actually early signs of labor or flu and what we can try to do to make the cramps go away.

Well I'm not a doctor but I've been told that diarrhea can cause labor and it's been called pre-labor I've never heard of throwing up being part of labor but the pain and tightening of the stomach is signs of labor it sounds like to me that she has the flu which is causing her to go into labor you might want to take her to the hospital to be on the safe side.Good Luck ,hope everything turns out to be OK.

He is a doctor, but from what I know, a second opinion might be in order. Weight loss + cramps + diarrhea + back pain = contractions or could also be flu. She should try lying on her left side and drinking lots of water. If the cramps increase in their intensity, duration, and frequency, then they're the real deal. Otherwise, could be braxton-hicks too, or the flu still.

If they get to be 5 minutes apart, and 1 minute long for at least an hour (5-1-1), then it's time to drive to the hospital.

Personally, I consider you will have to touch a industry legislation trained. If not anything else, you might have a attorney write a letter to the manufacturer and insist that they give up utilising your identify and e mail. Your manufacturer could have laws written in important points someplace that permits them to do that so that you will have to pull out your whole worker manual and different knowledge. Again - a attorney could be your quality wager. After the attorney expenditures you, you'll be able to take your former service provider to court docket to pay the attorney's invoice, too. This is why I paintings for myself.

I would go to another doctor. Do what is best for you and your baby and get a second opinion. If you continue to feel that bad then go to the emergency room. Pre-term labor is a very serious condition and should never be taken lightly.

Personally, I think she needs to get a second opinion or check into the hospital instead of going to the doc's office. They usually do a little more thorough job of checking everything if you're in enough pain to go to the hospital.

Doctors know best, its likely that hes seen this before, she should probably take something mild for the pain and rest herself. If it gets worse within a day then she should go back.
