I needed a surgeon. I chose one who I knew, he operated on my wife. If I need a surgeon again, I'll go back to him.

Under the govt system, I'd be assigned one, maybe one I didn' t even know.

I think I know better. Thank you.

You should be...But....the Federal Gov't doesn't believe you are capable. As the medical profession continues to treat the symptoms, with the help of the drug companies (does anyone here remember when drug CO.s didn't ADVERTISE? I do...) and not treat the disease, you will find more people looking at eating habits, over processed food, lack of nutrient value in our soils and the entire realm of Glyco-Nutrients we don't take in anymore. Oh....Wait....Is that why there's legislation that would place vitamins and supplements (even water) under FDA control. Wow, now the medical profession has a monopoly. Little Bobby may have to get a 'scrip for those Flintstone vitamins....And there are some that still want Socialized medicine...Geez

if the govt can give health care to all and elimionate the power/money hungry insurance co's then they should be able to use some measures to control the costs. Its a mess now so "getting govt" involved is a no brainer They already do so anyway for medicaid/medicare. Healthcare is getting worse in terms of access and lawsuits we need to intervene and stop the bleeding..if we want libertarian approach and govt stays out of our affairs it has to be across the board, including corporate welfare..prob not gonna happen

There are two schools of thought on the subject. You can either stir the mix slowly to make sure you are getting every detail or stir it fast so that everyone has something to eat.

Let's see, what does the government control that is efficient? What does the government do to run things--tax us.
