I do office work, but i mean in terms of wanting to do some i love and earning good money to do what i love. I dont mind office work, but maybe i could consider it as something else to do on the side line, like another job?? but i guess im 22 and probably left my run too late. Kinda stupid to think i could become some kinda actress at 22 all of sudden to it. Id have to go to drama school, judging by that i would be too late and too old. I just thought id ask as i was curious to what anyone thought the possibility of it.

Take some classes and workshops and see how you feel then. I hope you're in Los Angeles... go to workingactors.com, click on actors, then 'training' If you try a couple out and you're still inclined to go for it, then do it. As long as you have a good support system, you'll be ok. 22 is definitely not too old, you may be just what someone is looking for. A fresh faced twenty something who's not yet jaded by rejection! :-) Repost when you're ready to look for an agent and I'll give you the info! Have fun :-)

You can start learning to be an actress at any age! I have a couple of classmates in my acting class who are much older than you and this is their first time acting. Acting is all about emotions, and that's something people in every age can experience. There's a part for any age group, so if that's what you wanna do, go for it! Does the Australian newspaper have a classifieds section? That's a good resource to look for auditions and agents. It's never too late to go back to school! The average age at my university is about 24. Try memorizing a monologue because 1) it's always handy to have one at auditions and 2) it's acting you can do alone and you can see how much you like acting. Anyways, I know this is a long explanation, but as an actress, I like to encourage others to give it a shot. Go for it!

Is not a matter of age but talent. Go to collage or some private drama workshop (just be careful about scams, many creeps even promise parts on big movies, run away from those). The best choice is to go to a reputable Collage with a good theater program. At 22 you are still a young, just be realistic acting is a lot of work and dedication.

"Could a, Should a, Would a ". If you continue to give yourself excuses you will never achieve anything. Stop questioning and procrastinating and start doing. Jessica Tandy was how old when she was nominated for an oscar for "Driving Miss Daisy". Maggie Smith, Dame Judy Dench, Helen Mirran, Kathy Bates, Meryl Streep. All amazing actors and all well over the age of 22! No more buts and questions develop an action plan and get it done.

It's never too late to become an actress, although you're not likely to make much money at it, even if you're really good - simply because there are so many people competing for relatively few paid roles. Better to keep your day job and try to get parts at community theatres in your spare time, which will help you develop your skills and contacts.

It's never to late to be an actor. Call the Community College where you live and ask if they have a volunteer program that you can get involved in.

Once you see how what it takes to put on a production, you can decide if you want perform.

No you're fine. Just go to school for acting. I would reccomend Musical Theater (all types of performing arts) which has dance, acting, and singing. It would help you be a better performer, and get more jobs.

You're going to want to do as much acting in your community as possible thought before starting.
