I sorta need one from each of the genres mentioned:

MYSTERY (something along the lines of The Da Vinci Code, or Angels and Demons both by Dan Brown.)

HUMOUR (Dave Barry's books are a good example of the types of books I like. Anything with Sarcasm will do. Oh, and "A Dirty Job" by Christopher Moore is also fab.)

TEEN ("Elsewhere" by Gabrille Zevin is a good example. Something heartwarming.)

Thanks in advance.

If you liked the DaVinci Code, you could try THE RULE OF FOUR.

Humor... maybe Janet Evanovich.

I recently started reading the books by Steve Berry. He has started a series that has the same feel as the DaVinci code involving a character named Cotton Malone. Berry's historical research that he uses to write the books seems much more compelling. The first book is called _The Templar Legacy_ and he just released a second called _The Alexandria Link_ I will also attach a link to his website.

A couple of guys who I think influenced Dave Barry's writing and who are themselves sarcastic and funny would be Art Buchwald rhe political humorist/satirist who wrote a daily newspaper column and H. Allen Smith who wrote such books as My Brother was an only Child and Low Man on a Totem Pole.
The works of James Thurber, Mark Twain and Woody Allen--not Woody's movies, but his short stories--are very funny.
When it comes to mystery I am a big fan of Dick Francis, but I don't think that's much like Dan Brown.

"Happiness" by Will Ferguson is a pretty funny book. Lots of sarcasm. Its about an editor who publishes a self-help book that actually works. Very well written, with a unique, cynical humor. You'll probably like it.
