A VPN connects your machine to the LOCAL AREA network of your office! So yes anything LOCALLY can be managed by the administrator. Even remote machines. Normally the only thing "viewable" is shared folders so just dont share any.

Too many variables to simply say yes or no. You should assume they can though, particularly if it is a large paranoid company with a bloated security budget.

Keeping this in mind, just do all your personal stuff from your own seperate computer. They are cheap enough nowdays that it's worth it to keep your personal life private.

Assume that if you are VPN'd in, they can see your machine (unless you have remote device sharing turned off)
