I've never had a boyfriend. The closest thing that came to it was this boy liked me and vice versa. It ended up with he got bored with me and left, before anything really started.

I'm really anti-social and I barely talk to anyone. I don't know what to do to change myself, I have to FORCE myself to hang around people. But what kind of life is that, to have to constantly force yourself to associate with people. I'm 17, never had a boyfriend, and at this rate I never will. How can I change myself to be a happy social person?

relax, we can't help but change as we grow up even when we don't want to, much more when you want to.

it's natural to be a bit more shy when young.

Just don't build too much fear into your own psyche as you try to force yourself to change. relax and let the change take place instead.

in fact many guys are attracted to girls who are a bit shy.

Honest to god, you sound like me. However I developed my despair once I was in Gr. 8. I used to be without a doubt the bizarre man out, nearly all my existence too, but I in the end discovered a bunch of friends who accredited me for who i'm in any case getting to the factor. Simply on the grounds that your 20 and you could have on no account had a boyfriend, manner nothing! But, it looks like this episode of your existence nonetheless haunts you, and also you ought to do whatever about it. What you ought to do is: -discover a passion -Get out within the public -Meet new persons -Have fun with life -Take a threat You sound like a very appealing individual, and boys could have now not talked to you due to the fact that: 1. There silly (trust me) 2. They have been afraid three. They could not be stricken. I know lots of people who go via there college years with out a boyfriend for many causes. 1. They could not be stricken 2. They had been over scheduled three. Did not suppose in relationships throughout university 4. Had been weird :P 5. Could not land a boy if there lives depended on it. Simply go through life the way God (if you do not suppose in God) or destiny meant it.

Wow...I want to cry after reading this. Do you have any close friends? They should have your back and introduce you to other friends of theirs. You know what? I think the reason you have to force yourself to interact is because you hang out with people you do not enjoy. There are always a s s h o l e s in highschool, but there are also really nice people who want to make friends with other nice people. So, assuming that you're a nice girl, go find these people I'm telling you about. They're there.

Oh, you should make a myspace. Meet people in your area.

Good Luck.

You probably just haven't found the right social group for you yet. There are probably are a bunch of people you'd like to hang with, but they're somewhere else and out of that group will come your boyfriend. Usually college or moving to a bigger town helps broaden your spectrum.

Although it may seem like a lifetime, you are only 17 years old!!!!!!!!! I know the whole boy and dating thing is important, isn't there something that you love to do, that you feel passionate about? Music, drama, art, cooking, taking care of animals???anything????? Getting involved in something like that will help you do something you care about and develop social skills. Sometimes we do have to "fake it til you make it", meaning we have to act like how we want to be, to become what we want to be. You may have someone you want to be like, but only you can be you, you can't be someone else. You may never be a social butterfly, but you can learn to connect with people who have similar interests and the boy thing will come along with that.

hi girl. remember you just left the shore and your boat has Meany miles to go. be open like today's girl's fashion wear.
ask your friends about you(girl friend or boy friend any body)
and know about your self try . they can definitely help you out.
don't try to change yourself overnight. change one by one.
at the same time don't fall into wrong hands.
understand others other then expecting others to understand you. talk about what ever comes in your mind. always try to talk something. there is no law made to keep your mouth shut.
you are a free bird.

you dont need a boyfriend to define who you are ..... these kind of things will happen in do time.. u just need to learn some social skills and how to mix with others ...once you master these skills and feel comfortable with yourself and accept who you are then you have it made..not having a boyfriend is not the worst think in the world ....you are 17.... there is no set standard that says you have to have a boyfriend at this age or that you even have to have one.... just learn to b happy and accept who you are.... peace

Don't sweat it. I didn't really have a girlfriend until I was 18. We were married 6 months later (July 4,1999) & we're still together and just had a baby son last September 3.
