Baby murder. How could killing an Innocent child be anything but baby murder? That would be like asking "Rape: Rape or Sexual freedom?" You could say that rape is a man's freedom to choose what to do with his body, but you would be leaving the woman out of the equation. Just like calling abortion a woman's right to choose what to do with her own body is leaving the baby out of the equation.

It's personal freedom to do what you want with your own body. Personally, I don't disagree or agree with abortion on a serious level.
Do you think a rape victim should have to go through more pain and trauma with a baby that was created in an act she refused?
There's really no way to 'be fair' in this sort of thing. Religious people will demand the woman give birth, while those of us who respect an individuals choice (we live in the USA afterall) will defend freedom.
I've seen images of abortion and what happens to the fetus when saline solution is applied or they're 'vacumed' out.. It's very disturbing and sad but it's a woman's right - she will have to deal with the consequences - that will be on her conscience.
When it comes down to it I think the most important things are the 'age' of the fetus and whether or not this child was planned.

The latter. If it cannot survive on it's own because it has not developed lungs it is not yet a functional human but a potential human.
The term "partial birth" abortion is an inflammatory name given to a normal abortion. Since when can someone be partially born? Or partially dead? The name was chosen just to horrify people into believing it's murder but you cannot kill something that is not alive and couldn't live yet. Before a baby has developed all it's necessary human parts it's not alive so it cannot be killed. We could go to the extreme and say no one could masturbate or they kill thousands of babies so let's not get crazy. We all know that pregnancies under a certain number of weeks are not viable.

The right to choose to terminate a pregnancy for whatever reason is still legal in this country. What disturbs me is the growing intrusion on womens reproductive health. Women are not criminals. The decision to terminate is not an easy one and anyone who thinks it is sadly mistaken. (Yes, I am aware that some women use it a a form of birth control -- and I don't agree with that.)
And to those who think that finding out you are pregnant is a gift from God after you have been raped ----What planet are you from? Is contracting HIV after being raped a gift also? God is not testing you to see how you will handle the situation and it most certainly is not an escape for weak minded people. Women who are raped are mentally and physically fragile and will live with those scars for the rest of their lives. Instead of advocating compassion and empathy you are spewing fire and brimstone. Rape is a violent and traumatic act which NO ONE should have to experience. Having the right to terminate after a traumatic event such as rape should be available to all without limitations or restrictions. Shame on you.

Reproductive freedom. Abortions up to and including 12 weeks should be legal. The term the Repubs coined, partial birth abortions is deceptive. These are abortions 22 weeks and up but they account for only about 1.7% of all abortions and have always been performed because of health risks to the mother.

If I were forcefully taken, especially at my young age of 17, and I found out that I was pregnant, I would personally have the fetus aborted. It is my body, and I don't want to sound immoral or offened anyone in any way, but this is MY body, not yours. I would give a rat's behind what you think of me.
I would put it this way. Aborting just to get rid of the child is what I think is worng, but if a young girl/woman is forcefully taken and pregnant with that rapists' child, I think its right to have abortion.
Again I'm not trying to sound immoral at all, but we don't really need to have many children now. Population's rising. With India at 1.3 bil and China at 1 bil, we'll fill the planet up to the brim. If this sounds rasict, I am sorry. I'm just going by stats.
And besides, what about all of those children orphaned? They need someone to love.
And I don't want to contradict myself because I want children one day. I'll probably adopt though.

Reproductive freedom, A pregnant woman has the right to abort her baby as it's inside her and it is hers. I hate it when people make these stupid lectures on how abortion is wrong. You might as well just say you can't kill sperm becuase they can turn into a baby they are alive and we let them die. BIG DEAL! Abortion is good

No matter how you look at it, it is murder! Whether you think the woman has the 'right' or not, it's murder.
Being raped doesn't give you the right to decide if the gift God has given you, is something you need in your life. He gave it to you to see how you would handle the situation.
Abortion is just a door to escape from when life becomes one more thing weak people can't handle!
