Anything by Placebo, Suede, Oasis, Secret Machines, The Vines, Interpol, Jet, Velvet Revolver...not sure what you mean by not too intense, because the BEST stuff in my opinion is something intense enough to move you emotionally & physically. If you like older music check out the Kinks, Patti Smith, Rolling Stones (mid 60's to late 70's stuff) & David Bowie.
