I Do have a daughter, and, 2 granddaughters!! and Yes, I would let them wear the shirt up like that, the bare tummy is a bit overexposed, but, actually considering the styles this day and age, It could be worse. The shirt and jeans that Ms.Byrnes are wearing are neat and clean, and, she looks extremely presentable. If I did have a problem with the outfit (if it was my daughter or granddaughter), I would express my feelings, and reestablish the fact that I have both respect and love for the girl...and, If it was cold out, I would suggest a sweater or jacket....sincerely

Yes. That's very casual, yet classy, very fresh and natural and healthy; altogether a very pretty and youthful look for a young teenage girl. I actually find the look quite modest with the longish sleeves, the higher rise jeans and the buttons done up so high on the shirt. I would not hesitate to let my daughters wear something like this.

listen...you can't do anything about it... just don't tell her she can't wear it like that.. She'll just get out of the house and 15 metres away she'll tie it as she likes, and you still won't have it wear your way...
what you an do, is make a deal with her - she wears decent clothes when she goes out with you (shopping, family reunions..blabla) - that would be what - 5%of her time??? and the rest, she can wear the damn T-shirt how she likes it. I mean - you can say she could do this for you, and this way you'll bith be happy and you'll both make a compromise.
I guarantee she will appreciate you more, and next time you give her some advice, she'd do more than roll her eyes - she might really listen and trust what you say.

By a certain age, you don't have any choice. You might be able to control whether she does it around the house, but once she's out the door she'll wear it as she pleases. It is very important as a parent to maintain your credibility. As soon as you tell your child they *can't* do something, and then they do it, your credibility rachets down a notch.

Better, when it is not an issue, talk about it when your both in a good mood. She'll be better able to hear what your getting at.

I think it's tacky. I wouldn't let her anyways... Belly buttons don't look very cute, so I'm going to have to pass. Long tees and modest apperal is the hottest. I don't want my daughter to look like worldly porno trash, the less she wears, the more porn-like she becomes...

kids will be kids & do what they want to; but NO! I would not allow her to show off bare skin... leading guys on to look and ponder.......... Our young girls 13 - 29 +/- entice men to stare and to make bad advances (rape, etc). This is a pretty young girl; she does not need to be cheapened by
her lack of clothing!

I am a father and would not have any objection, obviously you have never seen some great looking gals with halter tops which are by far much more revealing. I would say that it was done in great taste

how old is yoru daughter? If she is grown there is nothing you can do about it. My dauighetr is 6 and i wouldn't let her .

thats soo 90's and not even cute anymore.
i wouldnt let her just because its not flattering, unless she has it like that at the beach or around the pool over a swim suit
