Rush has said himself- drugies outta be put in jail-
oh- but his double standard is - not himself, of course-
and no-
some drug addicts will act on curative therapies and shouldn't be mocked- true
but in Rush'es case- he needs to be removed from having a national effect spreading his brand of diviseness through-out America
he treats anyone left of his extreme blind-right much like a Don Imus big mouthed cretin-
in my humble opinion

How consistent of those who cannot stand to have their ideology exposed to the light of day. Limbaugh, who ironically is the most popular radio host in America and has been for many years, provides a valuable service for America. He furnishes an accurate and badly needed counterpoint to the dis-service that the mainstream media, entertainment industry and public school "teaching" (one could insert the word "indoctrination" here) profession have foisted on the public for years, in support of their attempts to tear down America through their socialistic political agenda. He is obviously quite effective in re-educating some of the more intelligent youth of today, who's heads, as he so aptly puts it, have been filled with mush. If he wasn't effective, the left wouldn't feel so threatened by him. He exposes hypocracy and liars and knows what is necessary to bring America back to a position of greatness - dismantling liberalism through education. He may or may not have a drug problem, but his mind is sound. At any rate, the drugs shouldn't be a problem for the left. It never has been before. As another hated political commentator of the day would say, "No spin. Just fact."

I actually feel sorry for Rush. I have worked with hundreds of drug addicts and it is pitiful to see anyone's life swallowed-up by a chemical addiction. Except for meth addicts, I have found prescription drug addicts to have the most severe denial problems.
Drug addiction isn't a sign of mental instability; that is putting the cart before the horse. More often, mental instability is a sign of drug addiction or alcoholism. You can introduce a chemical agent into the bloodsteams of otherwise normal people and, if they have the physical susceptability to addiction, you will see distortions in their brain functions, emotions and behaviors.
I hope I am misreading the timbre of your question. Although Rush Limbaugh may be someone you disagree with, I hope you are not enjoying his suffering.

Limbaugh and his host of clones are propaganda shills for the trans-national corporations and Jesus freak right. Do they 'believe' in all the talking points they get from the various right wing think tanks or do they simply read the lines? There's really no way of telling and it really doesn't matter. What does matter is Rush, Liddy, Hannity, Larson, O'Reily, Ingraham and all the rest of right wing talk show 'entertainment' industry support what can only be described as a fascisti point of view. A point of view that relies almost entirely on half truths, total lies, red herring, ad hominum and strawman arguments. This kind of blather serves the purpose of the reactionaries that have hijacked the current GOP. These people and FOX have done our republic a vast dis-service and to the extent that American power and influence exists in the world they've also done a grave dis-service to the world in general. Just be prepared for more of the same in this election cycle.

Rush has the most successful radio show host in U.S. history (currently estimated at 25 million listeners). No one is even close to dethroning him. I listen to him whenever possible. And it wasn't Rush who lost the Congress for Republicans. It was the Republicans who lost the Congress for Republicans.

I don't agree with much of his rantings, but the man was obviously victimized by the makers of Oxycontin (like many others). What the news says they did, and recently admitted to have done, is despicable.
This is America! Let Rush talk, let Ann Coulter talk, let Nancy Pelosi and Alan Combs talk..... let them all talk. If you don't like listening to him then do what I do- shut off the radio or change the station.

Are you a psychologist or psychiatrist? Unless you know him or have had experience with someone who has had a past drug problem, you're in no place to judge him.
A drug problem isn't something you mock a person about. It's not funny. I've been in his shoes before - and when you've been in that low of a position it's not heartwarming to be constantly criticized for your 'addiction.'
He voices his opinions a lot - I respect anyone who stands up for something they firmly believe in (no matter what it is).
Everyone is entitled to their opinion - which is why I'm entitled to think you're pathetic.

I vote for "Or What"!
He makes a lot more sense that any other radio talk show host! What happened to "Air America" ("for the rest of us", i.e., Stephanie Miller, Al Roker and you!)?

Dangerously insane more likely, for the people who utter Liberalism is a mental disorder, Rush Limbaugh is the living proof that Neoconservatism is a mental disorder.

Forget the drugs. He's a narcissistic jerk who thinks he knows everything. He tells people what to think, so his audience consists mostly of people who can't think for themselves.
He's good for the liberals, and he doesn't even know it!
