I'm looking into booking a cruise in September 2008, and this is one of our port of calls that we will be stopping in. I've heard a lot about this city, but what do you guys recommend that I do while there? We will have 8 hours. Would especially like to hear from people who live there. Thank you!!!

We have been to Lisbon many times and our travelogues are posted on our web site: http://www.thetravelzine.com

Have a great trip - you will love the city and regret that you have just a few hours to spend there!

I lived in Lisbon for a year.. haha, you can go around the city and shop.. check out the city in itself. There's a coast so you can check that out too!

go to monument of descobrimentos, mosteiro da batalha, and Belem its beautiful and typical everywhere you walk you 'll see beautiful monuments then you can sit and try one of our traditional creme tarts, enjoy the modern building of art galleria and their expositions, see were our first airplane departed and if you still have time discover our parks
