I am a junior in highschool and the year is quickly coming to an end...there is one more week that seniors will be in school...i feel so sad. I will never see most of them again. Some i am possibly good enough friends with to see in the summer..and others..i know them..and talk to them a lot..but it's just not the same...it will be different without these people..i feel really sad because I am going to miss them so bad..i hate how i get so attached to them...does/has anyone else felt this way?? like really sad about seniors leaving? I feel like crying..and I almost cried today in class...

No offense but you are way too emotional and self-centered. You shouldn't be sad, you should be happy. They are going be starting the next step in their lives. Don't worry for them, most of them won't remember you in a few months.

Oh I know EXACTLY how you feel. I'm a freshman in college, and my senior friends in high school are graduating tonight, actually...

As a junior I remember watching my senior friends graduate thinking all the while...oh my goodness...this whole dynamic will be gone, and my class has to fill that void...There are people I might never see again...ever. There are people in my class that I won't see again after I graduate.

Take comfort in knowing that things do go on, whether we want them to or not. Wanting to cry is perfectly rational. The sting will heal with time. If anything, just get excited for the next year you're going to have, you have SO much to look forward to. Live it up, make it the best. It flies by like no other.

Think about how the juniors felt last year. The same way you feel this year.
