I hear them very often in my home(in my living room and bedroom), which is a condo in Florida. My eardrums ache almost all the time, because of this daily noise. I hate it where I live, which is why I'm moving away in a couple of years. What are the laws on noise pollution from cars in Florida?

go to a city council meeting and voice your concern. find out the zoning laws in your neighborhood about excessive noise. call the police every time you here the boom boxes. if all else fails, shoot out their windshields(j/k).

Every city has a noise ordinance of some kind.

I think where I live we even have a law that says if you're over a certain decible it's a whole different violation and major fine. Enforcing it is a chore and police have other places to be.

Unless you have someone in a parked car and can get a plate number (shrug) even then all you can do is report it. It's not a matter of life or death so you can't call 911.

Get some ear plugs, go to bed earlier, and move as soon as you can.

they can be annoying as hell can't they. unfortunalty there is really nothing you can do except to call the police and report the license number. you would have to look up your city ordinance on loud music and verify that they are in fact breaking the law. in my area if you can hear the music more than 15 feet from a vehicle, you can recive a tickit. hope this helps.

Check with local cops there is a ordnance, saying if you can here it from a certain distance away they are in violation. They could be ticketed.
