Ocean. While the mountains are beautiful, and breathtaking, and rejuvenating, humans were meant to live near water. Our bodies are made of water. Try getting to a hospital with a broken leg driving a stick on a mountain.

It depends upon your tastes. I lived in Tennessee/North Carolina for a five years and loved it. I've lived onthe Gulf Coast (Destin, FL) for almost thirty years and loved it. I knew people who were miserable in either location.
