Destiny exists, Free Will doesn't. If I slap you hard on the face without reason, can you possibly be free to choose to be happy instead of angry?

Neither exists in my humble opinion.
To truly have free will you would have to have no consequences for the choices you make. No moral outrage from society, no self doubt or for that matter no "sin".
The idea of destiny is incredibly boring. Why the crap am I hear if some god/goddess has already determined the way my life is going to play out.
If you thing of it as a number line where 0 is true free will and 10 is destiny, I would say our lives are about a 3.

Both. "We can't run from who we are. Our destiny chooses us." Martin Landau in the movie, "Rounders."
In this scene, Matt Damon asks his law professor, played by Martin Landau, if he had to do it over again (make the choice between being a lawyer and a rabbi) would he make the same choice? And Martin Landau's response is: "What choice? We can't run from who we are. Our destiny chooses us." He had free will to choose his life's work. He made a choice to study law. Despite the fact that his family shunned him for choosing law over being a Rabbi, he made his choice of his own free will. His destiny was driven by his choice.

God gives all humans free will. And I believe destiny is when God allows something to happen. As a Christian, that is just my view on it.

we are not the one who controls our lives. r u born as u at a particular place, in a particular environment etc etc according to ur will; no. u didn't have control over ur birth or u don't have control over ur death then how can u have control over all that is happening in between these two. all one can do is to feel the pulse of the nature or the creator or the force or god or what ever u call it and live according to it, then u can have peace and harmony.

Logic alone tells you that if every thing was fated the whole universe down to the smallest electron would have to have predetermined paths. It simply isn't true.
Apart from that, there is a page on HP that debunks it with scriptural proof:

Aside from scientific reasons, it does not make common sense that my decision to take a walk this afternoon was decided a millisecond acfter the Big Bang........

This is similar to "driver vs. traffic". They both exist. We need to drive carefully to reach our destination, and avoid any accidents.
