How hard things are for them that are not hard for me, or how much less they have than I do, and yet are not whining or complaining. Also, when I talk to my friends back in super-expensive Santa Cruz County, California, and I think how much money I have saved by moving to the more reasonable cost of living here in St. Louis, Missouri. I now pay approximately half what I did for rent, and have a larger and nicer apartment that even has central air conditioning!

If you look at the less fortunate than yourself, you will be thankful every day. If you look to the ones better off than yourself, you will envy them and naturally miserable all the time.

I know how good my life is, and it is great.
