Well I am kind of confused by this....Okay he gets his daughter every other...GOOD! At least he is a MAN! Be proud you have a man that respects his daughter and the fact he is a dad. He may have just got caught up in the moment with her and thought "I would rather be with my daughter than in a grocery line." I am a mother of 4....my ex gets the boys every other....He used to come up with EVERY excuse he couldn't help with this or help with that...he had to do something. He HURT the boys so deeply. Now he has changed and the kids come first...I am so happy for that. Our boys deserve that. BUT if this incident bothers you for whatever reason...sounds like a communication problem. Talk to your man without being TOO judgemental or nagging..he may go into "defense mode". Just tell him how you feel. You can do it.

You should be a little upset. But just think. He wasn't running around or goofing off. He was letting his daughter have some fun. And i know as a father. Seeing my kids have fun makes time go by as i cherish every moment of it. Just tell him next time to do the grocery shopping a day or week before he picks up his daughter.

Grow up. I can tell when you wrote this you were probably hungry, tired from work, and just overall aggrevated. I'm sure after you read this later you realized how silly you sounded. If you didn't, you should. He just wanted to spend some time with his daughter. Taking your child to the store is not really quality time with them and he only gets her every other weekend. Be more understanding or you'll push him away. A bond with your child over rides all other bonds so just be careful. And let him enjoy his baby...

Give him a break. He gets to see his daughter once in a fortnight and you want him to spend part of that time shopping. You should be glad you have an man that cares that much about his child. Look at it this way. If he cares about his daughter that he had with a women that he very likely hates now, then he will care about any children he may have with you.

It's a little disrespectful yes but wow, can't you both go tomorrow? He only sees his daughter 4 days a month. I'd lighten up and go shopping with his daughter tomorrow. Maybe he got distracted with her and kinda forgot about it. It's really not the end of the world is it?

I think that the reason you're so upset about this is could have more to do with the daughter then whether he bought food or not.
What meaning have you attached to the fact that he didn't buy food? because its the meaning that you've associated to his actions that's got you upset about this.
How specifically is what he's done Disrespectful to you?....is it not Disrespectful that you're on line late at night discussing your relationship issues with strangers?
If you expect to be treated with respect then be the first one to give it.
You need to discuss this issue with your partner and figure out what Really is bothering you about this.

I wouldn't make a big deal out of this. He just got distracted with his daughter, and that doesn't mean that he doesn't care about you. Besides you can't expect perfection from your partner, and you should be able to be more independent. Next time order pizza for all of you, and have fun!!! Later you can express to him your disappointment, if you still feel like.
Good Luck!!!

Well then he can just get up in the morning and go shopping or take the family out to breakfast, then go shopping together. Simple solution.

A person's longevity and peace of mind come from not getting upset at every little things. You want to pick on him, by all means, probably won't do much good.

Get over it! People procrastinate all of the time. I'm sure you can relate. Give him a break. Be glad that your man is a good one. Be glad he isn't a dead beat dad. Go get the groceries yourself and cook him his favorite meal. don't lose your man over a small thing!!! love is too hard to find!
