Europe at the time was composed of nations who were belligirent to each other, reasons being political and religious (Catholics vs Protestants). Colonization and exploration was a way to get more resources and wealth to gain an upper hand with rival countries and thus winning wars against them. Also some reasons why individuals left their home countries were also for religious freedom. Religious minorities were oppressed and deprived of their human rights leave the mother country in order to escape persecution and live free. Others, such as explorers wanted the glory and the wealth that comes along with colonization.

First of all, you should do your own homework. You cannot expect people to answer that many questions for only 2 points and possibly a whopping 10 points... the whole point of a group assignment and homework period, is to work towards a conclusion separately and together.. not by cheating.
