well, going by how the question is being phrased. I would have to go for the parachute not opening while deep sea diving. I wouldnt want a parachute around me, it could drown me then leading to my air tanks running out ... that would be a horrible death.

i'd rather have the parachute not open cus i'm pretty sure the minute i hit the ground i'd be dead but if the air tank runs out while i'm deep sea diving it'd take longer. besides you might get lucky and some part of your clothing or parachute pack gets stuck somewhere and saves your life.

What a random question, but I think I will answer. I would prefer to have my parachute not open. First off, when your falling, you have time to think, breathe, pray, you dont have to worry as much. When you hit going 180mph, or whatever, you die instantly, no pain. If you by some miracle survive the fall, youll be knocked out and not feel it anyways. Now, reason I wouldnt want to drown, is because its painful. Ive heard people who have drown, then been brought back, and they say it hurts. Not only does it hurt, but you panic alot more. Now, if were talking only a couple hundred feet down, id rather be there, you unhook and swim up hoping you make it prior to drowning. But if your referring to no chance of living, parachute not opening would be better.

Air tanks because I'd never deep sea dive alone so whoever I was with could share their air with me until we reach the top. With the parachute I have no chance.

I always wanted to make a bit of an impact in this world, so I'd have to say I'd prefer my parachute not to open. Drowning's just unpleasant, plus when I think about being eaten by sharks and fishes, I get queasy, even if my body is already dead.

I would rather have my parachute not open, I couldnt take drowning, its not like you die instantly. If your parachute dosent open, you would die on impact when you hit the ground. No Pain in not haveing a parachute open.

I'm not going to do anything where I would need a chute or an air tank. We do read of people who have survived the chute failure many a time but I don't have recalls of a lot of empty tank survivors.
