Hey, give it up. Those millionaires and billionaires need that money. Its the essence of their lives, its the only thing they live for, its everything to them. They must have lots of money to make their lives meaningful, its the very nature of their being. They need to make more and more each and every day, they must do anything and everything to achieve greater and greater stockpiles of wealth - money is their very lifeblood. To deprive them of that would be the ultimate act of cruelty, it would be like stealing the very breath from a baby's mouth. Surly, you can't expect us to prevent these billionaires from accumulating more and more of what it takes for them to continue to maintain their will to live. We must give them a break and let them have our money, to hold it back from them is cruel beyond words.

It is not our "right" to have cheap gas. Compared to every other developed country our gas is down right cheap. In fact compared to the shortages of the late 70's, it is still cheap. Even at 3 dollar a gallon Americans will spend a smaller percentage of their income on gas than in the late 70's. If anything ask the question "How long until the automakers spend the extra $100 bucks to make the cars more fuel efficient?" You don't need hybrids to effective raise the CAFE standards for SUVs or other vehicles. Just improve the efficiency of the drivetrain and use lighter materials. Unfortunately in this country to only way to change the mindset of the masses concerning consumption is to hit them in the wallet. Maybe $5.00 a gallon gas will encourage some infill development around cities instead of another exurb and encourage an investment in mass transit.

Well, there is the great gas-out on May 15th where you don't fill up your car. I think its' the 15th anyway, don't quote me. But the point is, if everyone cooperates, we can drive the price of gas down by boycotting the gas companies. After all, you just KNOW they're going to post billions of dollars profits AGAIN for this year. There ought to be a law, but not while Bush is calling the shots, that's for sure.

Why would they stand up now if they didn't stand up against a false war, dead troops for nothing and tranferring 500 billion dollars to military corporations for false reasons?
