I'd be too concerned about the tornado to think of thirst. safety first but if i must quench thirst, I'd boil the water first but again the power could be off and so back to the conundrum...save my whatever first.

I would think that that would be a way to kill ones-self. It maybe a slower death. Why not let the tornado do that for you?

Lick the dew off the grass, Use your cell phone and call for help.

How did this toilet filled with water survive. If you can can get yourself to it to lick it up then you can go look for help and go to a store and get some bottled water or water out of a fountain that some businesses have.

tornados don't last very long. i can't imagine being so thirsty during a tornado that i would risk running around looking for a public toilet to drink out of.

No, because they don't last very long, relatively speaking. I could survive without water during that time.
