Obama because he has a grasp on what average Americans are going through, and what we would like to see in our government. he also listens when we talk-which is why it's taking him a little while to roll out all his plans: he's putting them together from ideas he has heard directly from people on the campaign trail and from people on his website.

Read his book "The Audacity of Hope" to get a better idea of his character.

He does not accept lobbyists or PAC money, so his votes cannot be bought for a special interest group.

He taught Constitutional Law.

He also is the only candidate so far to release his tax information to the public:

I think besides a lot of the wonderful policies he will put into place like health care, ect, his biggest achievement will be his bipartisan politics and new ideas that will appeal to people from both sides of the aisle.

Good answer Brad N.

Bill Richardson is the best prepared announced democratic candidate. Why... He has the experience and held responsible positions in Gov. He is a diplomat that has made great contributions to our country by meeting with some of the worlds best politicians. However, the money goes with Hilary so she will win .
On the republican side they are hurting for a candidate. I like
Chuck Hagel...he seems to get the message that perhaps attacking a country based on lies and deception was not such a good idea.

ok first off, half of you spelled their names wrong which again proves that a democracy requires intellegence in the voter, something america lacks.

Guiliani and McCain are just too old, they'll probably keel over half way through their first term if either one of them one. Thats not to mention they're conservatives which makes them a horrible choice to begin with.

Barack Obama is by far the best candidate. He has gone where no president or candidate has gone before with inovative policies that will effect real change in this country. He has a good plan for Iraq, a good plan for the climate change problem, plans for affordable health care, and will be able to regain the international reputation that the U.S has lost during the Bush years. Hillary is a fairly close second but i think she is still stuck in the traditional political views, something that wont solve today's problems as well as Obama's fresh prespectives on the problems the U.S faces.

Juliani has the stones to do the job well. I like John Edwards also. It would be nice to have a president that couldn't be a member of AARP. Edwards seems like less of a jerk than most politicians, but I might be wrong. If Fred Thompson is a candidate, he seems pretty honest and trustworthy also. Man, how many people are candidates this time around? Hard to keep up. Maybe I should pay more attention.

Hillary Clinton has a game plan to solve problems quickly and intelligently. She and Bill are highly respected by world leaders, another white egotistic man in a custom made suit will not make it this round.

Obviously Bill Richardson. Experience and accomplishment, more than all the other democrats put together, and all the republicans are idealogues.

Dr. Ron Paul. He believes in living within the Constitution, and doesn't believe we ought to be meddling in other countries' affairs when it doesn't affect us. He is a medical doctor who understands healthcare, and also has an outstanding knowledge of the economy. These are two important issues right now, and in Congress, he's been voting against the Iraq War since the very first day.
