Begging doesn't bother me too much, some people need to learn to have some dignity though. I would rather be begged for something than asked sickly sweet and then followed up by a whole lot of brown nosing til I delivered.

While begging is rarely an atractive thing, some people may be so desperate for something begging may be their last option. So I tend to take this into consideration.

Well in most cases I think they are desperate ignorant people expecting sympathy without administering any kind of real effort. Feel sorry for me because I had six children without a job and my husband smokes crack and drinks up his paycheck. As for the other 5% that truly need help they should be given a first or second chance. Now that we have that covered we should avoid the reality of rewarding beggars and for a good reason, it doesn't look good.

If they're capable of earning it themselves, I think of them as lazy. If not, that's a totally different story, even though I'd still be surprised that they would beg from a stranger (don't get me wrong here... it's just that I'd feel weird begging from a stranger... I do it all the time with my own family... I'm not saying it's wrong... besides, if they were incapable of earning it, why didn't someone help them earlier?)

I don't mind giving things to people but when they beg over & over again, it annoys me .

Depends on what are they begging for. If that's a mother begging for food for her family, I do what I can.
If that's my brother begging for money again I just send him to h*ell.

They irritate me deeply
I don't consider a homeless person a beggar, BTW. Beggars are people who are capable of tending their own needs but too lazy to do so. I cannot abide laziness.

If they are truly needy I just think it's sad. It would be terrible to have to beg for anything.
