The way you describe your antivirus protection, sounds like you must be using Nortons, resource hog and pure garbage.

Here is an excellent free antivirus program from AOL, Active Virus Shield powered by Kaspersky Labs of Russia. Rated # 1 in the world for virus detectrion. AOL, will only ask you for your email so they can send you your free key good for one year. After one year request a new key. You will get auto., updates every hour on the hour, plus has an excellent background scanner that really works in real time.

Definately uninstall it and if you want a unabtrusive antivirus that's not going to be anoying, then stay away from the Consumer antivirus programs, especially McAfee and Norton Antivirus. Don't get the AOL one as someone said because anything from AOL is just as annoying! After evaluating many different ones, I chose Symantec Antivirus as it just works and doesn't bug and doesn't expire like the consumer ones...

actually no longer. I even have one on my abode pc gadget, and then I run different loose online virus examine courses as backups. you could desire to to evaluate getting a application like McAfee or Norton as those are in many cases even larger high quality than the web protection from SBCYahoo and AVG. it is extra of the "2 the merrier". they are no longer "nicely matched" yet they do no longer run together, they run separate of another. It shouldn't make issues worse.
