Well which guard would you drop in James' place, or which forward? It comes down to that, IMHO.

Much more deserving. Lebron has a great amount of help. Lebron is not a great player. He can't hit a big shot, and cant make FREE throws. All 5 of those guys DOMINATE their respected positions. And by the way, a 2 seed in the east is a 6 seed in the west. The west is the better conference with MANY more better players. Lebron had a good year, but maybe if he wasn't garbage the first half, he would have made the 1st team.

I'd take Duncan over Lebron. He's a better all-around player, a better clutch player, and he's won championships. Nowitzki is arguable, but since he's the best player on one of (if not the best) team in the league it's no wonder he got the nod. Also, Nowitzki is in his prime whereas Lebron is still developing. The voters probably feel that in a couple years Lebron will be dominating the league anyway, and will probably be first-team for close to a decade.

Unlike the idiot Char4lif Lebron derserved to be on the first team what talent Lebron has around him, man some people are just dumb who has more help than Nash with Marion Stoudemire Sixth man Barbosa. Dallas has a lot of talent. Man watch the game not listen to other fools . U are right Lebron Deserve to be on this team, and do we forget Tim Duncan is a terrible free throw shooter.

Obviously Lebron is one of the top 5 players in the league, but all nba is by position..center, 2 forwards, and 2 guards, therefore, with the year steve nash had, lebron should not have made it, because right now, kobe is better. So deserving , probably , but not better than kobe or nash this past season.

Because the NBA needs to "pump" Nash, Nowitski and Duncan. Their games are pretty much standard and not very spectacular.
Le Bron James and Kobe look great on SportsCenter. The other 3 guys I mentioned do not.
Forget 1st team, Le Bron should have been MVP.

to make it to the nba 1st team you must be one of the top two best forwards in the league. just look at who got the top two spots: dirk nowitzki and tim duncan.
look at dirk's field goal percentages: 50 percent from the field (.502), 40 percent from three-point range and 90 percent from the free throw line (.904). he's the only player on the nba to do that. he's also one of the best rebounders.
let me quote form nba.com: "Duncan earns his ninth First Team selection, the most of any active player, with averages of 20.0 points, 10.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists. His 1,599 points this season were the most since he scored 1,884 in 2002-03. He scored in double figures 78 times during the regular season. "
