Success and being rich is not measured by the amount of money you have but how you feel about yourself and others. And how others feel about you. It's about having your health and mind, body and soul. That is what makes you rich.

didn't we all make the same promise? not that many of us lived up to the promise..too many fun things to do and buy along the way, too much waste of time, and now, it is a little late. Be happy that, hopefully, you are healthy..that is rich. Be happy, hopefully, that you are loved. Be happy, hopefully, that you have succeeded in what you wanted to do in life, and face it, there is a lot of life left in both you and me...I am 66, just getting started. I didn't make real money until I was 60, and I am doing well, suppose that I am now a millionaire, but truthfully, it doesn't feel any different than when I wasn't...just a little less stress when it comes time to pay the bills...a million is NOT what it used to be. Good luck and stop with the looking backwards..you have a great future if you take it.

If you are otherwise happy ( aside from not being rich) and you have good health, friends and family, a warm safe place to stay, then you already have what many people would be happy about.
I am not rich, but I have no debt and have sufficient for my wife and I and leave something for our kids or help them if they need it.
Rich is a frame of mind since everyone has a different definition of what rich is. If rich is a million dollars and no debt, then there aren't that many rich people in the world.
Happiness is more important. They dont leave enough room in most caskets for a million bucks to be buried with you anyhow.

Find something you like to do and try to find a way for people to pay for it. For example: If you like to draw, draw pictures and go to a gallery and try to sell them. If you like to make clothes, try designing unique dresses or handbags and sell them at local shops until you have a following, then get someone else to make them for less money and sell to a larger audience.
If you're not sure and don't mind learning something new, learn web programming with html, then javascript, the server side programming. There are literally thousands of resouces online where you can learn these things and you can make EXCELLENT money at them if you're good. If you're a veteran, there are lots of government programs that will ONLY hire veterans for some contracts so you have that going for you.
The key is doing what you like so when you have to make it into work, you're enjoying yourself while doing it. Also try and approach things differently than you see them done now. If you're 60, you probably know that there are a lot of WRONG ways to go about things and if you can think of a RIGHT way, you make money at it.
