I need a good and fast classic book to read (high school level). Any ideas? I have read Sherlock Holmes, Night, To Kill a Mockingbird, Pride and Prejudice, The Beekeeper's Apprentice, and Four Comedies of William Shakespeare. Please give me a short summary of the book! Thanks in advance.

How about C S Lewis "The Great Divorce"? It is short and is about some people who go to heaven on a bus and each has a different experience.

You would get in to theology a bit and the concepts of spirituality. It is not a long book - say 100 pages, but very well written - same author as Narnia series.

Its about her childhood, growing up as a poor black girl before the days of Civil Rights. Its very well written and easy to get thru.

1000 leagues under the sea was awsome. i read it last summer but my summary is probably going to be a little sketchy. from wut i remember men end up on a submarine (which they had never heard of and thought to be a monster) and are forced to stay there bcause the captain (who is sinking ships with the sub). I've heard that moby dick is pretty good but i haven't gotten around to that one yet.
