I ask this question because I see far too many people just lash out after incomplete observation and data gathering.

Let me survey how many people are honestly more feeling than thinking oriented. If you are more thinking-oriented, I am interested in your thoughts regarding why there are very few well-seasoned minds.

A very good Question .. and hard one too ..

Ummmmm ..

Logic / reasoned ..
Most and all the time .. why ?? mostly cause ni used to .. since i always had to choose when i'm a kid .. with the least money ( 0.50 cent / weekly to have living with ..., so can you make logic make you living by that amount ?? ) , and left all to myself .. lonely Child .. and alot of other kids , and adult child abusers trying to make their way against you ..
so Surviving that and those events.. with no damage at all ?? means you had used alot of your brain and soul power .. to become the one all of others respect and look for as a symbol .. on now events .. must needed alot of Logic which got learned from time, experiences and people reading ..

Emotional ?? yes i'm sometime emotional .. ( or might let others think so ). ( specially in case of women attraction.. lol ) .. the question is .. did i lost anything ?? or something happened that i didn't expect ?? Never .. lol.. just sometimes i help others emotionally .. but the good reasons for that .. is that i still have a heart .. and it wouldn't damage me ..

Seasoned ?? i can not say that .. if so .. then i will never regret or think about any decision i take after it is taken .. i can not say that i'm Seasoned .. may be others say that .. yet i just believe in mind ..

Have a great day n.
Enjoy ur life ..
Good luck ..

Logic is by far the way I conduct my adult interactions. But the emotions are always just below the surface in many instances.

As much as I have respect for a reasoned approach to things, we are, at our core, emotional beings. Our oldest part of our evolved brain contains those emotions. There is often a schism betwen feeling and thinking that is hard to resolve and sometimes it is easier to simply rationalize the 'feeling' then logically construct an argument against it. That could be one reason to look for the easiest answers to complex questions and go with emotion.

At the same time, emotion has served us well during most of our evolution. We are not human without emotions and in some instances we should ditch the logic and follow our guts.
The real trick is knowing when to use each.

Peace.

First off, I think with logic most times. I'm always observing and trying to find reason for all the things around me (why does he/she behave that way, why is this here and not there, who came up with this idea and why, etc.).
I believe that life is filled with emotions (humans are emotional creatures-plain & simple)... most people don't care to know why things are the way they are or give it too much thought (they just go with the flow). They may find certain things/situations complicated to the point that they feel it's just a waste of time to give into it/much thought or perhaps they really don't care unless it strikes a nerve or attracts them emotionally!
You can say it's part being lazy and/or part not caring. However, it's a balance (seasoned minds/emotion) that is more than neccesary-an essence.
IMHO, if the world were full of thinkers we probably wouldn't have advanced in many of the things that we (the whole world) have accomplished in the time we have... we always learn from our mistakes. Sometimes we go with our emotions and fail, but sometimes not. The sooner one FAILS FORWARD FAST the more likely it is he/she will find a good solution/perfect their game... that's based off emotions.
Having said all that, it's best to prepare properly (think) to minimize/eliminate set backs.
Both is needed (almost equally).

Well, it depends on the topic of course. There are some things that I respond to very emotionally, but for the most part, I use logic to figure things out.

The reason behind why most people let emotions control their thoughts is the way they were raised.

"unfortunately" more "emotion" than logic, childhood terrors built "fantasy" walls for my protection and for the protection of others.

now reality has reared it's ugly head "much to late in life" and I am caught in two worlds frozen in the present.

It's not pleasant, I can't "make everything be ok" by pretending
anymore, I do drift into that, but then reality "rears it's ugly head again."

I feel like I am too reasoned and seasoned. I admire people who are able to be more emotion than reason.

i'm mostly logic. i always look at the technical side of things, and i'm really stubborn so if something doesn't make sense i look 4 a logical explanation and stick 2 it XD
