C. On July, 1953, after 3 yrs fighting, the Chinese-backed North Koreans (with Soviet Russian support) and the United Nations forces (mainly the US forces) reached a stailmate and agreed to partion Korea along the 38th parallel with the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). And remains that way to this day.
