Personally, I actually don't really care that much. I do commute to work, but I drive a very fuel efficient vehicle ('02 Ford Focus ZX-3 2.0 DOHC 4cyl. w/5spd manual trans. - it can get in excess of 45mpg). Sometimes I ride a motorcycle - an '06 Suzuki C50 (804cc V-Twin), it gets in excess of 55-60mpg. I don't like paying a lot for gas, but I just sit back and laugh at the idiots and their SUV's. I can fill my tank up for less than $50 and drive it for hundreds of miles. Fuel costs here are relatively low compared to a lot of other countries, and were kept artificially low here for a long time. I am fortunate to be gainfully employed, and to have sufficient cashflow. This has been soley because of my hard work however. I blame this incompetent administration for the higher prices though. They have been completely unwilling or incapable of helping out the average working Americans who have been suffering high fuel prices that are taking a big chunk out of their paycheck.

That is one great point.
We have refineries in this country running at beyond capacity. Every time any company hints at building one, the public out cry of "not in my back yard" is outrageous. It is the same as drilling in the Gulf or in Alaska. There are reserves there to last AMERICA for an estimated 200 years with fuel half of what it cost now.
And as for nuclear.... it is the most efficient and clean power source there is for our homes and businesses. Still the far left screams of the horrors of this type of resource.
Watch them scream when their AC or electricity don't work. It will be there own fault.

More refineries are not going to be built. The oil companies have a powerful lobbyist group, if they wanted new refineries they would be built. I know people will blame the EPA, but if you have enough money you can get anything done. The oil companies do not want new refineries built, why would they give up making record profits willingly?

Gee what about the fact that we don't have enough oil in the U.S. to support America by ourselves.. why do you think we buy 70% of our oil from other countries? And you can't build oil refineries where there isn't any oil.

May 15th is internet users day that we are not to pump ANY gas that day. It's been emailed to me several times. Totaling all net users that follows this idea is supposed to set the oil companies back 3 BILLION for one day. It worked in the 70's by word of mouth ... I wonder how many will actually follow thru & the income loss to the oil com. We'll find out on the 16th if it's mentioned on line or any type of media.

A good start would be to eliminate taxes. Let's see that is about $0.60 per gallon.
What a concept!
Of all who are involved in finding, producing, refining, transporting, storing, distributing, marketing and retailing gasoline, their total profits per gallon are less than the congress takes.
Lets ask congress to stop gouging us at the pump.
Write you representatives today, stop gouging AMericans at the pump.

how about lets cap what Exxon Mobil can collect in a quarter, or better still lets take some of that 12 billion a month the fuhrer is spending and subsidize fuel costs the way Mexico and Venezuela does ... or better still let's stop exporting the gas that "is" pumped out of our ground to Communist China??????????? or is that to meddlesome in the affairs of honest business men?
