Suns hands down ! The Nets interior play is sorely lacking and the Suns have Amare and Shawn Marion. Kidd is older now as is Carter. The Suns would win a 7 game series 4-2 !

The Suns without a doubt. I love the Nets and hope they make it past the Cavs, but they're not even in the same class as the Suns right now. The Suns just have too many weapons, including Amare Stoudemire who would outmatch the Nets bigmen, that can damage you greatly. The Nets would probably win a game or two but not the series.

the suns, easily. the nets are a very average team. kidd is a great player, carter is an amazing highlight reel but maybe not the best leader and jefferson is above average. beyond that they have no one. the suns have a deeper team that executes much better. plus the matchup would be amare vs. mikey moore. with nash on the pick and roll, the nets are done.

First off.... The coaches don't matter in this situation. It's not like any of the coaches can tell any of the players how to be brilliant. the reason why these players are even on this list is because they've set themselves apart by their feel and their talent for the game. so we can start by omitting the coaches. next... since every player has to play, we will play all the second and third tier players for a half a minute to a minute each (that's it) unless they gotta hack a shaq... thereby stripping the lineups to who should be playing 40 plus minutes: East: Jordan (SG), Wade(PG), Kevin Garnett (SF), Lebron James (PF), Bill Russell (C) West: Kobe (SG), Magic (PG), Charles Barkley(SF), Tim Duncan (PF), Hakeem Olajuwon/Shaq (C) This is an incredibly difficult decision. If the motto "defense wins championships", I'd have to go with the East (in 7 games) as they have 4 players that have consistently made 1st team all defensive with the exception of Dwade who happens to be the best blocking PG/SG EVER and has fallen only to Kobe Bryant in all first defensive team balloting every year. The center position is the only exploit that I can see with all due respect to Bill Russell. He just isn't going to stop Hakeem or Shaq. No one will... I think the distribution of centers on these lists are a bit unfair as you put the 3 most dominant centers ever on the same side... Wilt played in philly more years than he did in LA... lol

The Suns, simply because the Nets would have no answer for Amare. Raja Bell would keep Carter under control. Jefferson has become overrated since his injury, even though he used to be one of my favorite players.

I'm a big time Nets fan, but honestly I think the Suns would be too much. Oh yeah, I'm happy that Nash didnt win MVP, Dirk deserved it for the REGULAR SEASON
