I would disagree but to tell the truth and hope that I don't sound like a conspiracy nut, I believe most Internet servers, commerce related agencies and the NSA already passively monitor the Internet, remember something called them "cookies"?

In a way, we already are. Anything you post on the Internet becomes part of the public domain. There really is no privacy in cyberspace and you should have no expectation that anything you post online remains private. Anything in the public domain is subject to scrutiny by our intelligence gathering agencies (likely the NSA in this case). When you post something on the Internet it is exactly the same as running out to your street corner and yelling it out loud so everyone can hear.

Agree or not, I am 90% sure it is. The Internet is used by terrorists to recruit so, what do you think? Is it being monitored? My point is that we don't have a choice about this type of thing anymore.
