Typically no, it takes a long time to make a lot of money for a journalist. It also depends on the type of work you are doing. Is this journalist on TV or writing for a newspaper? are you asking about print journalists, online journalists, TV journalists, radio journalists? pay for journalists varies A LOT. the size and prestige of the outlet where a journalist's work appears makes a lot of difference in the salary.
