LYRICS:
If I should stay,
I would only be in your way.
So I'll go, but I know
I'll think of you ev'ry step of the way.
And I will always love you.
I will always love you.
You, my darling you. Hmmm.
Bittersweet memories
that is all I'm taking with me.
So, goodbye. Please, don't cry.
We both know I'm not what you, you need.
And I will always love you.
I will always love you.
(Instrumental solo)
I hope life treats you kind
And I hope you have all you've dreamed of.
And I wish to you, joy and happiness.
But above all this, I wish you love.
And I will always love you.
I will always love you.
I will always love you.
I will always love you.
I will always love you.
I, I will always love you.
You, darling, I love you.
Ooh, I'll always, I'll always love you.

Well, lemme think about what i have...(i'll include a description of the story in the song, and the genre)
(song-band: description)
(in no paticular order, except artist name on my iPod :p)
Here without you - 3 doors down: a sort of power ballad, it can be taken many ways. It can show sorrow that you're separating, but that you can't get them out of your mind, that you miss the person, but this isn't the right song i think. Just putting it out there
Let me go-3 doors down: This might be a better choice. "one more kiss could be the best thing, or one more lie could be the worst." and "You love me, but you don't know who i am. I'm torn between this life i need and where i stand" are some lines in it. It's rock-ish, though i have the iTunes originals verson, so its acoustic.
She's Always a woman to me-Billy Joel: This is a slow song, piano and Billy singing. Its a very nice song, and it could be taken many ways.
Scenes from an Italian Restaurant-Billy Joel: In the middle, it changes from a slower song to a faster pace, and speaks of a relationship similar to what you're describing, not identical, but somewhat similar.
You-Breaking Benjamin: Slower than some of their songs, but strong guitars, not acoustic by any means. I feel the story tells of a breakup, of which the singer opted to remain in, although it wasn't the best for him. "Promise me you'll try to leave it all behind. 'Cause i've elected hell lying to myself." It could fit.
Invincible-Crossfade: "I memorized all the words for you. If you only knew how much thats nothing like me." The singer tells of a relationship that didn't work out, though so much was put into it.
Time of your life-Green Day: From a band known for punk, this is out of style. It is softer, acoustic almost. It, in my mind, speaks of moving on. "It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right. I hope you had the time of your life." It tells about how one must move on, although keeping memories is important, and how it was worth every moment.
WIth You- Linkin Park: Loud guitars at times, and yet quieter sections have a hip-hop feel. LP is known as a rap/rock band, though their new album won't be (coming out in the US this Tuesday). This song to me tells about a relationship, where the main story is that he can't quite get over the person. He can't get her voice, her face out of his head. "Even if you're not with me, I'm with you." "No, no matter how far we come, I can't wait to see tomorrow with you."
Auron's Theme-Nobuo Uematsu: This is from the game Final Fantasy X, and Nobuo is an excellent composer. The song is the theme of Auron, a mysterious mentor to the main character. It, to me, expresses experience, moving forward step by step, trust, pride, and companionship.
Can't Stop Loving You-Phil Collins: This is a melodic song, quite nice in fact. It tells about a person who sees the person they love leave, though they still love them, and will miss them. "Got your ticket, got your suitcase, got your leaving smile. Well I could say that's the way it goes. And i could pretend, but you'd all know that i was lying. 'cause i can't stop loving you."
Of all of those, i'd say She's Always A Woman To Me, Can't Stop Loving You, and Time of Your Life are the most appropriate. However, there are still many possibilities I don't have listed (AKA don't know the song :p), and many there you won't like or that you dont' find appropriate for the situation. I hope this helps a little!

its sorta old but "My Boo" by usher and Alicia Keys best fits that discription! it R&B hope u like it, its PERFECT
here is part of the song(i got this from a random site, so it might be a little off)
(Chorus Usher)
It started when we were younger you were mine (my boo)
Now another brother's taken over but it's still in you're eyes (my boo)
Even though we use to argue it's all right(it's alright girl, that's ok) (my boo)
I know we haven't seen each other in a while
But you will always be my boo
(Chorus Alicia Keys)
I was in love with you when we were younger you were mine (my boo)
When I see you from time to time I still feel like (my boo) (that's my baby)
You can see it no matter how I try to hide (my boo) (i can't hide it)
And even though there's another man who's in my life
You will always be my boo
(Alicia Keys)
Yes I remember boy cause after we kissed
I could only think about you're lips
Yes I remember boy the moment I knew
You were the one I could spend my life with
Even before all the fame and people screamin your name
I was there and you were my baby
