not so fast dude right out of high school he will have alot to prove before he is that high in qb rankings, dont get me wrong im a gator fan with alot of respect for irish football and even hope they do well because as long as they dont play the gators i will pull for them ,but you got to see them perform at the college level before you can call him a great qb,just look at his to brothers who played at tennessee i hope he dont end up being a bust like both of them who were regarded as high prospects in high school ,good luck to you and the irish.
GO GATORS!

What about Colt Brennan, Brian Brohm, Matt Ryan, Erik Ainge, Brett Meyer, Andre Woodson, and Dennis Dixon, just to name a few...
Has Jimmy Clausen played a down of college football yet? Has he grasped the complex offense that Charlie Weiss runs at Notre Dame yet? If those answers are no (which they are) you can't even mention his name while talking about the top 100 college QBs. It's pure, simple speculation at this point that this guy will even start, let alone be good as Notre Dame's next QB. Look for Evan Sharpley to be the starter next year while Clausen learns the offense.

Clausen isn't a great recruit no doubt. But you have to also have a great supporting cast. I think that's where Chad Henne would have the edge on him. A great QB can only take you so far so it will be intresting to see how their season goes.
No matter what happens GO HAWKS!!!!

Irish nation is dreaming, yet he might be good, but he hasn't even played a down and you are already wanting to name a street after him. I can name 7 QB that are better than him. 1) John David Booty (USC) 2) Colt Brennan (Hawaii) 3)Brian Braun (L-Ville) 4)Chad Henne (Michigan) 5) Pat White (WV) 6)Tim Tebow (Florida) 7)Colt McKoy (Texas).
But look at the bright side, he might be the best out of the Independent schools.

I agree...Brady Quinn had good numbers...just imagine how good Clausen is gonna be, since he is WAY better than Quinn was in high school...I think Evan Sharpley may start the season, but sometime during the season, Clausen will be the starting QB...
