Well, I believe that when you shut off your engine, it will slowly rotate to a stop and while it does that a little fuel will be sent to the cylinders and it won't be burnt because the pistons aren't going fast enough. And then when you start your engine back up it will inject a little more fuel in there so it will run righ just for a second. I don't think you are going to save a lot of money shutting off your engine so I would jsut leave it running.

Probably not worth worrying about unless your stops are 5 minutes or more. You'll use a lot more gas just getting up to speed from a stop than you'll use at idle, which uses very little gas.

You should never leave a car running when there isnt someone in it.it's dangerous and could be stolen. also idling uses a ton more gas then running the engine at higher RPMs

Well when running quick stops, while your parked, you get 0 miles to the gallon, so i would go with shutting it off.

The money you will be saving on that is so mediocre that its ridiculous to even bring this up. Ifr you cant afford 2 extra dollars of gas, then maybe you should consider getting a car with a smaller engine, or a scooter.
PS: Are you Jewish?
