hi there!
{please, excuse me my poor English}
when i was 17 i knew already that not all questions are meant to be answered but still believed in adults superiority regarding getting answers right due to their knowledge, exp etc.
now i am an adult myself and i know that adults are still kids! they play games of politics, household, family; have big toys -- cars, guns, dresses; they are still vicious, silly and hopeless. and all that answers they are feeding into your brain are just pure guesses and suggestions (just another adults game).
all i can tell you regarding your question is this: it does not ******* matter!!! and i don't mean that you have to live your life like you were to die tomorrow, but simply -- don't think about the things which you cannot (or dont want) to change. make sure that you are happy, and people around you are happy. and dont bullshit around with questions like this)))
good luck 2 u!

You sound just like my brother. He doesn't want to be gay but he is. I watched a programme on television some time ago. They said that when we are conceived, (I'll put it in plain English), we're conceived as a blank canvas. Then the genes kick in and nature decides what we should be, sometimes they screw up and give us a little more of something than we should have, and so, because of this, we are physically men or women, but we are attracted to the same sex. It isn't your fault that you're gay, it's natures fault. I'm afraid you have to accept how you are and try to be happy within yourself.
I'm sorry I don't remember the programme, maybe I should try and find out because your question comes up quite often.

The more important question here is 'if it was a choice would you still choose to be gay?' I would - boys always win in my book hands down. But as for your question - I don't know and no scientist or homo hater knows for sure. Al though I hope no amount of research goes into this idea because thats just a waste of time and money! :)

Yes, you (and most of us) are that oblivious because you do not know the true consequences of your actions and lifestyle. While you aren't intentionally trying to cause anyone grief you cannot just assume your actions and lifestyle do not have any negative consequences. They more than likely do. For example (one of hundreds I could make), do you purchase inexpensive clothing made in China? It has probably been made by what amounts to slave labor in a sweat shop, more than likely by a teenage girl who isn't having any fun. By purchasing such things, you indirectly support an industry known for its labor abuses. Think about that just for a moment. Your happiness is probably more than a little tainted with such things.

I don't believe that you choose who you will fall in love with. I fell in love with the person who saved my life when I was younger. This person happened to be the same sex as I am. This was also back before I really knew about homosexuality and what people perceived it as, so I was following my own natural instincts. I think it would be foolish for someone to say that you can choose something like this.

Homosexuality is caused by a hormone in-balance in the womb so you are born with it. However the way you are brought up can make a difference. If for instance your parents are bigots who drum into you that homosexuality is a sin then you could well go through life and never have any homosexual experiences or even sexual experiences of any kind. I suppose it is possible that a child could be taught that heterosexual sex is a sin and therefore indulge in homosexual sex even though they are not homosexual but that seems very unlikely.

We cannot choose whether to be gay or not - we are born that way! So yes it was meant to be!
Don't dwell on it - just accept and get out there and enjoy being yourself! Your life is your own.

I don't think it's something most people choose. I think you're born gay, just like I know I was born straight. But in the end, none of that matters. Are you happy? If the answer is yes, than nothing else is important. Just be true to who you are. Gay or straight, if you try to be the best person you can be, I believe that the universe will reward you for it.

It is a bit more complicated. Some people are born to be gay, some people became gay because of events of the life. Recent researches found out that it is in the brain from the beginning so it is mean to be this way. the trouble with acceptance of being different. You are lucky to live at present times! Talk to the gay friends a bit. I am sure you are not alone on your way

So you're gay. Did you choose to be gay........who cares. Was it meant to happen............who cares.
It's your life, and you live it for you. Everyone who really loves you will love you just the same as they always have, regardless of your sexual preferences. Some people might take time to except things, but who cares?
Get on with your life. Be proud of the person you are.
