Should be ok as long as the AC isn't blowing right on his bowl. keep a thermometer handy and if he gets too cool find another spot in the room for him that might be a bit warmer.

It's fine to keep a betta in the same room as an AC. Bettas are best in a bowl where the temp in approx 70 degrees, give or take a few degrees. If the room is smaller or seems to be quite cool, i would suggest getting a little heater for the tank. i'm not sure what size tank you have your fish in. Mine are in a one gallon glass bowl, which i would recommend. Any local pet store should carry mini heaters, they are very inexpessive and very easy to use. Not as complicated as you would think. You can set the mini heater to 70 degrees so this way it goes on and off accordingly. Good Luck!

Well bettas are tropical fish, so the heat won't kill it, so you may want to rethink the AC situation. Air conditioners don't emit anything that'll harm the fish, but the fish might get a little cold in a room with an AC.

If your betta gets too cold, he will stay really still, and his metabolism will slow down, so if you find he loses his appetite,he either needs a heater or to be moved out of the ac room

60 to 80 degrees will be fine. Bettas are not picky. Dont believe any of that 72 to 80 degree BS.

I am sure it is okay just as long as it isn't right in front of it.
