If you're 5'9" tall and 175 lbs. in the 7th grade then you have a lot of options. The first thing that comes to mind is Linebacker, but do you have the mentality of a linebacker, Hit Hard, and Hit everything. No receivers and tight ends can come across the middle for you. If you have speed and good hands or just good hands and not afraid to block then maybe tight end. It all depends on your abilities more than you're size.

At your age and size, you could play any position you have the ability to play.
Try them all and see what you can do and what you can do best.
As you get a little older and grow a little taller and gain some weight, then you'll be able to focus your ability to see a little more clearly as to what position(s) you might want to try out for.

Im thinking TE/OT. You're tall so you can go up for a pass but it depends on how high you can jump and how well you can catch. If you're a big guy, OT would be perfect for you, depending on your strength.

Depending on strength and speed, either wide receiver, linebacker, or a defensive back.

Stop asking this question! If someone told you to be benchwarmer would you? No! So just play whatever position you find the most fun and that your most talented at.

Stick to defense, it hurts less to give a hit than take one

I really hate these questions... People tell us their wieght and hieght and expect us to be able to tell them what position to play... The answer is we honostly don't know, we don't know how fast you stuff like that. Either you should know based on what you know you can do or ask your coach.... They should know
