I am just wondering. I wasn't sure when full term was, 36 or 37 weeks. My cervix has thinned and softened. I am having lower back pain, I am feeling naseaus, and my stomach is tightening. When I went to the doc Wed., he said that her head was down very low and I was measuring 39 weeks. I am just now 36 weeks today.

Full term is 40 weeks from the first day of your last period. So if your doctor is saying you are measuring 39 weeks, then you probably are and someone just made a mistake in calculating your dates. Perhaps you are counting from when you conceived rather than from your last period which was 2 weeks earlier than ovulation. Either way...get ready to meet your baby very soon by the sound of it! Good luck.

Full term is 37 weeks...as long as you have had a healthy pregnancy the baby should be ok. I am 38 weeks and my cervix has been thinned for 2 weeks now. Good Luck and Congratulations :)

Baby Should be fine. I gave birth at 36 weeks and the baby also measured 39 weeks. i also had the pains u stated for about a week. She was 8lbs. although she was jaundie, most preemies are becasue the liver is not fully formed, so if ur baby has an orange skin n yellow eyes, go to the hospital ASAP!!!!

Full term is 40 weeks, but after 36 weeks, it's more likely that the baby's lungs will be developed enough to survive outside of Mommy. Most docs won't do anything to stop labor if it comes after 36 weeks. It sounds like your body is getting ready to have that baby. good luck.

Yes, she will be fine if she comes now. You can't force her though, she'll come when she's ready.
I have my son at 37 weeks and he was considered full term. My daughter came at 38 weeks.
At 36 weeks i had enough of the pregnancy, i went to the doctors and begged him to induce me, i was desperate!! When i look back that was funny!
She is close and a little girl! Girls are so much fun!. The clothes alone, Gosh I've spent so much money on her clothes they are sooo cute.
You will love every second of her!.
Good luck!!!

hiya i gave birth at 36 weeks the docs said it was too early and there could be problems but my son was very healthy no problems at all. Infact when i gave birth with my daughter at 39 weeks she was lighter than my son. I had lower back pains and it felt like he was gonna fall out lol then an hour later i was in labour.

My friend had her daughter at 36 weeks & she was just a little bit smaller than most newborns. But she didn't have to stay in the hospital & has no medical problems.
And if you're measuring 39 weeks, then you should be okay. Good Luck! :o)

My daughter just turned 6 months.. she was born at 36 and a hlaf weeks - she was completely fine, just small. But then, good things come in small packages, right? Seriously though, your baby will be fine. She might just have some trouble feeding, but she'll learn quickly.

Full term is 40 weeks. Many docs will let you deliver after 38. Keep in mind also, some babies mature more rapidly than others, if she is ready to come, she will. If your doctor is concerned, he will run some tests to check maturity of her lungs.
