Try to be truthful, in a background investigation if you lie about why you left a company it is grounds for the company not to hire you or to withdraw their offer of employment to you. You could just put that the job/company was not a good fit and things did not work out.

Never say why your last job ended unless they ask specifically, and if they do then the truth would be best otherwise things will get messy in the long run.

honesty is the best policy..
if you don't state you were fired but you lie and the next job finds out..then you lied and that's means for them not to give you a job...if you state you were let go is fine...
but when they speak to you and ask why were you let go then tell them the truth not specific details but you were fired..
Because your next employer can call your company for history on you...So don't lie....I had a friend you lied about age and in 3 to 6 months for some reason they found out and had to let the person go..

Left for personal reasons. That's pretty vague and if you are asked, you can say you took it pretty much personally that they fired you. Actually I've used that on resumes and never even been asked about it and never had a problem.

You don't have to list why you left unless they specifically ask. Just list the places where you worked.

I have used that my leaving the company was a mutual decision between my employer and me.
