Want to control what republicans say, anything a republican says gets twisted as, racist and offensive, but when a Lib has something hurt full to say its okay, they are having discussion? Do you need an example? OK, Rush Limbaugh was attacked by "rev" Al Sharpton for his parody "Barack. the magic *****", when Rush was using other news sources tag lines for his punchlines. Then "rev" Al Sharpton tells that Mitt Romney's not truly of god? because he is Mormon, and god will take care of the Mormons? Isn't that offensive? so now the Libs say what we can say, and now they can decide who god likes? weirdo dun Dun's. so why the hypocrisy?

i guess libs cant read, or maybe just glance over, i already stated once, what Rush said in his songs were all from the LA times NY times and even sharpton him self, it was more of a parody about the media than Barack.

Come now both parties twist and make offensive remarks about the other party! Why did Rush have to say anything about "Barack's race anyway? Sharpton unnecessary remark about Mitt Romney's faith is extreme and he should not be grouped with all Democrats! He is not a politician! Obama is a Man, why remark about his heritage anyway. In this day and age is it really relevant? Does anyone say a word about any other Politicians skin color? Such as the white President George W.Bush? or The white ex-President Clinton? Not necessary! Democrats have done allot of good for this country and they are being demonized by the Republican party and that is wrong, wrong, wrong. Please read up on what a candidate believes in and stands for and don't fall for political mud slinging!

I often wonder this myself. The biggest perpetrator of racism is the ones that are often conceived as the victims of racism.
Al Sharpton and Louis Farakhan have long standing actions that show they are racists. Yet, since they help the "victims" they are seen as the savior. The media will always buy into whatever sells no matter the truth.
Another prime example is the Duke rape case, it was based off race the whole time and nobody has brought charges against the D.A. or the woman who lied multiple times (unless that has been hushed).
I personally, don't care for "Barack, The Magic *****" but that is because it doesn't fit with my sense of humor. I do understand the humor and meaning behind it and nothing is to claim he is incompetent because of his race. That can not be said of what people are, as you pointed out, saying about Mitt Romney.
When Clinton was being impeached the Democrats were out in full force saying what a President does in his spare time is a personal matter. Yet, where is that claim for Romney? I will even go one step further, in relaying a overlook fact: Clinton received his spare time happy times in the OVAL OFFICE. Last time I checked there is not a place to have church in the oval office.
I see a lot of people saying how does it feel to be in the receiving end. Why is it wrong when the Republicans do it, but okay when Democrats do it? Why is it okay to use the eye for an eye metaphor right now when it is said to be total rubbish when you are fighting night and day to save the most vicious killers in our society?
At least a Republican (although not politicians, no politician can say this) can feel secure in their feelings and know they will always stand for one thing and not flip flop as it fits them.

definite they are ! Im an energetic accountability Marine and that i've got been over there, and we are triumphing and making a distinction.....yet then I come lower back right here and all I hear is how undesirable we are dropping! What the crap is going on ? each and every DEM is ranting and raving approximately how Bush's recommendations are undesirable and Petraeus (my new hero) is faulty in each and every little thing he does, even in spite of if that's precisely what THEY pronounced they needed 6 months in the past! whatever, the DEMs pick REPUBS to look undesirable...regrettably, even undesirable sufficient to the element to the place they might jeopardize my existence by using reducing money to me and my brothers at war, just to make the folk of u . s . think of that they mean corporation....pathetic. EDIT: STEPHANE: Are you blind? There are 2 questions there....you purely might desire to certainly examine the small print!

Why are we tolorating Al Sharpton anyways? I'm not but the media shoves a mike in his face where ever he happens to be. It has to be because Hillary uses him all the time. The man has a horrible past and it's making the democrats look really foolish cause it's obvious he's their spokesperson!

well... let's see...
Rush Limbaugh is listened to by many, many Republicans and promoted a word that is considered racist by many... "*****" as you mention...
Sharpton, I think, has a radio show that listened to by few and said something about religion based on his religious beliefs that seemed to be in no way motivated by race?
hmm... if you can't tell the difference between these two situations, in almost every way... from no one listening to Sharpton or caring what he says, when he is only making a religious statement... to Rush, who is clearly listened to by many, making what is mostly considered to be a racist statement...
then, I'm just going to have to roll my eyes and pity you...

They don't. Democrats believe in freedom of speech more than Republican do. Consider the tendency of right wing Republicans to call those who are against the war in Iraq or who disagree with Bush 'traitors'. I call that a serious attempt to chill the right to free speech.
You should stop thinking about what celebrities and pundits say, and consider what office holders and candidates say and do. That's really what matters in politics.

Let's just say Republicans/Conservatives unleashed the Dem/Lib fury with their 'over-the-top' persecution/undermining of Clinton.
You guys are now reaping the whirlwind. 'What goes round, comes round'.
Quit whining.
Anyway, the 'Sharpton phenomena' is being furthered by Fox News. Hours and hours of agonizing about what Sharpton said, or didn't say. They are feeding the frenzy, nobody else.

You know, when these baseless accusations first surfaced several years ago, I thought they would subside, but instead, they've been adopted by extremists from both sides of the political spectrum.
Really says something sad about the state of our political intelligence, here.
