Personally, I am more partial to longer names (and not making nicknames out of them), but it really depends on the last name, or all 3 names together. I think if the first name is one syllable, it would sound better to have a longer middle name, or vice versa. The bottom line is that the name should have a flow, or not sound choppy when first, middle and last names are said together. The first name needs to "go" with the last name.

It in all hazard has to do with the certainty that I communicate British English on a similar time as relatively some you human beings communicate American English. i did no longer think of Eli or Ian became into one syllable the two, as another human beings have spoke back. This became into an extremely exciting question. relatively some exciting. megastar for you.

short or long its down to personal pref and the persons surname. a one syllable surname & christian name might not be the best combination but many celebs love this because fans remem them.. Hasn't done Brad Pitt much harm.
personally I like short names of one or two syllables as they tend to remain true and don't get messed with.,
Matt Mark Luke John Ed Fred Ned Ted Anne Liz Jill Jane May Meg All these names can be longer the short version is loved simply because its sweet and neat..

Some people don't want nicknames for their children. They name them what they plan on calling them. Their are a lot of very nice one syllable names in the world. I love my name and it is one syllable!

1 syllable names are chill. But you have to be creative and not make it 'too' funky if you know what I mean. It always seemed like the "cool" kids had 1 syllable names when I was a kid.
Try this one on for size...
Kai (rhymes with "try") for a boy or a girl.
Has sort of a Polynesian flair to it.

We just wanted names for our children that would grow with them. Sometimes, people name their children really odd names, not realizing that eventually those cute little babies are going to grow up, and that trendy name they gave them doesn't sound so good on an adult. So, I would just pick something that has a good flow, as well as sounds good for an adult and a child!
