I can't leave the state without being hassled and hearing "Minnesooooooota" on what seems to be an endless loop.

brain freeze it's so cold there that their minds are chemically changed by the long winters so they obsess on all things Minnesota. I have also heard from a guy who lived there that they aren't very accepting of people different then them.

I hear ya brother. I'm from Texas and have good friends in NYC, every time I go up there they'll call all their buddies over to hear the Texas boy speak. Gets old.

It's largely thanks to Fargoooooohhhh's depiction.
But the without-fail thing for me is EVERY time
I speak with a Canadian, they deny both that,
1) They've ever seen "Strange Brew," and,
2) It's colder there than necessary.
Then they say, "Take off, eh?"

I'm from Iowa and we even know that accent! It's probably a cross between being Norwegian and Canadian, eh? :)

i live in minnesota and i hear that all the time from people i think it's becasue the canadian accent we have becasue we are closer to canada
