Why did maddys parents leave her alone?
im not saying that it serves them right or anything like that
my parents would never do that
and im 13
but isnt it stuiped?

there parents went back and fourth to dinner and to check if they girls were OK.but as they say anything can happen in a minute.there sum pervert a s s **** out there.

They probably wanted to spend some time together without the children and thought that the world was a safe enough place to leave their children alone for a couple of hours without them being kidnapped. I obviously don't know the whole situation as I wasn't there but I'm sure a lot more parents leave their children alone for short periods. The difference is that most people don't get their children taken away when they do. I would never do it but I would never berate a person who makes that mistake and has to live with the consequences.

It is very sad and it was silly for them to leave there kids on there own I could never leave my little girl i worry leaving her when i put the bins out
But they will have to live with what they done and will be punishing themselves for ever i just hope that maddy turns up alive and well very soon. I hate to hear about kids going missing

I feel sorry for the parents..and im not going to judge anyone(even though i wouldnt leave children alone)but if it was a single parent that had done that i'm sure she/he would have had more grief(from the media and public).Here's hoping she is found safe and well x

this story is absolutely horrifying! to make it worse she was sleeping with her twin sister and brother while her parents were at the hotel only 50 metres away!! so their child was taken right under their nose! oh gosh whenever i hear this shivers go up and down my spine!!! i really hope they find her fast and alive!! &&it's her b-day tomorrow =(

I can't believe it. This is gonna make Brits hate Portugueses even more.. even though it's possible the person who took her wasn't Portugues.

I dont know the geography of the place but I believe they though it was safe. They are suffering. We have all done stupid stupid things but lets not take our eyes off the fact that they are not the criminals and should not be treated as such!
