Iraq's government? Wasn't the Vice President just in Iraq on a "surprise" visit? When the boss sends his hit man, you better listen. Everyone on here was speculating why he was there, I think we know now. Now the President can tell us they want us there. All it's going to do is piss-off all the people who are already pissed-off. We'll see more, bigger, better explosions and the enemy we can't spot will keep doing the same thing they have been doing, killing Americans and innocent people. This is all aimed at September and what the good general is going to say and I expect that to be we need to stay.

Actually, the American people don't care what the Iraqi government says. We aren't paying to prop up their government beyond the end of this year. Count on it! Dubya's public approval ratings are in the toilet, and the handle is about to be flushed on the entire Republican Party for supporting this fiasco. What do you think the Pubs are going to think about first when push comes to shove, their political future or propping up a foreign government which is in failure mode? I predict they will come running across the aisle within two months to join Democratic calls for beginning the pullout from Iraq before the end of this year.

I say when their Parliament takes a two month vacation, when our troops are coming home in bodies bags and without their limps, we take a permanent vacation and get our butts out of there. Who in the hell to they think they are? Oh right they are following the lead of Bush, when he took off the month of Aug right before 911. Sorry, I just couldn't help myself. If I really wanted to be cruel, I would bring up the fact, that Bush went to war with the wrong country. Saddam Hussein was not responsible for 911, and he was a real SOB, but Americans should not be giving life and limb for Bushes lies

It seems the middle eastern mind only recognizes "an eye for an eye". So if for every bomb in iraq, there was one set off in the country supplying the insurgents, we would have parity.
The cold war was based on parity. This one could be too.

Actually, Moscow calls us to stay the course. Even the Russian govt believes staying the course is in the best interest for the whole world.

Could it just be the Democratic Party is more on the left than a former Communist country?
